The folly of Jennifer Eivaz – New Apostolic Reformation false prophetess

By Rick Becker    10 December 2017

Jennifer Eivaz is an associate minister with Harvest Christian Center in Turlock, CA. Another self proclaimed New Apostolic Reformation false prophetess with thousands of followers, Jennifer leads her biblically illiterate followers into a fog of mysticism, new age, and the occult. Read this review of her new book – “Glory Carriers”

Job 22:28 is a proof text for word of faith proponents who believe we have the power to decree things into existence. Typically, false teachers fail to make the distinction between a descriptive and a prescriptive text.  Descriptive texts relate an event or conversation;  in other words a  description of what took place.  Prescriptive texts contain instructions or commands – some applied to Israel under the old covenant, and others apply to new testament believers.  This specific text is a descriptive text, in fact Eliphaz is speaking, and was later rebuked by God:  “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.  Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” Job 42: 7-8

Jennifer is relying on the words of a man whom God rebuked for speaking folly.  If she were correct, we could determine:
who is saved
our bank balance
our health
our circumstances

The apostle Paul must have been a miserable failure according to this teaching. Shipwrecks, illness, beatings, hunger, thirst, cold and ultimately martyrdom would be indicative of a man who failed to know his rights and privileges as a believer; a man who failed in his declarations and brought such terrible hardships upon himself.
What Jennifer is teaching is called the American dream.  It is not the gospel.  The means to attain this dream is by becoming a god.  We can declare something for hours on end, but our declarations are never causitive.  We can declare that God is just, righteous and holy.  This is a fact and we are in agreement with the truth, but our declaration did not cause God to be just, righteous and holy.  NAR churches such as Bethel in Redding CA believe the church will disciple literal nations, yet their decrees and declarations over Redding have had no impact – violent crime is on the increase, hospitals are still in business. (Bill Johnson who underwent surgery last year would know).  Instead of believing we can create our own destiny through our words, we bring our supplications before the Lord and trust him to perform his good will.  Search as you may, you will not find a single prescriptive text instructing us to decree any part of our future into existence.  God is the only one who can decree something into existence.

Because Jennifer does not know what the word of God teaches, she turns to omens for guidance. Here are some examples:

The time on your smart phone screen is not a replacement for God’s word.  The number 711 is a number that is significant…to psychics:
“What your angels are trying to communicate with you can be deciphered by knowing what you are thinking of and what you are feeling the exact moment you see the angel number 711. You may want to write it down on a notebook or on your smartphone’s note pad app so that you don’t forget. For starters, the angel number 711 merges the vibrations of the number 7 and the number 1. Number 7 represents spiritual awakening, inner wisdom, and good fortune, while number 1 represents inspiration, motivation, and happiness. When combined as one, they form a pretty powerful combination that urges you to listen to your instincts and inner voices. This will lead you to the happiness that you have been searching for and bless you with good fortune.” – “trusted psychic mediums”

The wonder of creation is a general revelation that points to a creator: “When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,  what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” Psalm 8:3-4
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.  For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened” Romans 1:20-21

Jennifer however resorts to pagan practices and superstition to “hear God speak”

When a bad photograph, photoshop or possibly a demonic manifestation of an angel of light is confused with God’s glory:

Some religions require that their adherents leave their shoes outside their place of worship.  In the New Apostolic Reformation world of charismania, adherents leave their minds outside.  Reason, logic, common sense, and most importantly scripture itself, have no place in this movement that purports to be on the cutting edge of “what God is doing” but in fact is at the forefront of Satan’s deceptive schemes.
Masquerading as a minister of Christ, this false prophetess is building a thriving “ministry” by fooling those who have itching ears and refuse to hear the truth.  Like most false teachers, any chance of reasonable dialogue with her will be shunned.

Valid questions are ignored:

Debate is not welcome:

Mark and avoid this false prophetess who serves another master.

..disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.  And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds”
2 Cor 11:13-15
